OVERALL CHAMPIONS
What a fantastic weekend it was at the DNK Refrigeration City of Rockhampton Open! We had an impressive turnout of 234 players, making it a truly remarkable event.
We would like to thank all of our volunteers, committee, staff and players from the weekend for turning the event into such an amazing two days!
A special thanks to Noel Russell, Peter Mehlhose and Phil Thomas who gave up their hole weekend to make this event happen.
Ricky Gunzler took out the competition with two impressive scores over the event (72 & 75). Ricky is not new to this competition, having previously won in 1996, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014 and now 2024. Congratulations Ricky!
Our runner up was Andrew Eaves, shooting 77 and 71 over the two days. Andrew has kindly offered to donate his prizes towards assisting one of our juniors, Zane Blackborough, as he travels to the USA for the USA Kids Golf Championships later this year. Thank you Andrew!
